Requiem presents a series of musical episodes alternating between aggression and gentleness. Long chant-like melodies float over slow, pulsating drones, rupturing in small, dramatic bursts created by the electronics and the trombone. What inspired me the most to write this piece was the poignant capabilities of the trombone.
